FMF Charters In Orange Beach Alabama

FMF Charters

Hi, I'm Capt. Dennis.  I was born in New Orleans, LA and have been inshore fishing my entire life.  I spent a lot of time with my father and uncles fishing south Louisiana for trout and redfish.  We moved to Pensacola, FL when I was about 10 years old and I have been fishing the Pensacola and Orange Beach area since that time chasing every species of fish imaginable.

I have been charter fishing now for over 25 years.  I have done everything from deep sea fishing for marlin and tuna to inshore fishing for Redfish, trout, Sheephead, and anything that will bite the hook.

This is an offshore tuna trip on the Summer Breeze with my good friends Shane and Sonny.

My passion is for fishing and teaching people to fish.  I'm not prejudice as to what I target.  Whatever is biting is what I try to catch.  There is nothing more satisfying than seeing someone reel in their first fish or the seasoned pro making the perfect cast.

Her first fish.  A nice mangrove snapper.  Kids are definitely welcome aboard the Find Me Fishing.

If you are ever in the Orange Beach area, Look up Captain Dennis

Enough about the charter boat - let's go offshore fishing in the beautiful Florida Keys!

Hi, I'm Captain Jon Reynolds, proud husband and father of two young boys. I would like to take this time to better acquaint you with myself and invite you to come fishing aboard the Drop Back with my crew and I in the beautiful Florida Keys. Aboard the Drop Back we pride ourselves in aggressive fishing, while HAVING FUN and staying patient with all of our customers.

Our family moved to Miami when I was 8 years old and I immediately fell in love with fishing. After-school activities included fishing, fishing, and more fishing. My dad bought our first boat that year and soon every weekend was consumed with offshore fishing from Miami to Islamorada.

My passion for fishing soon led to my first job at Burt's Place Bait and Tackle at the age of 11. The knowledge I learned over the next 4 years from the local captains that visited the shop was applied to our weekend offshore fishing trips. The flood gates were opened. I spent evenings tying knots and throwing nets to prepare myself for my first job as a mate, which I landed in 2001 at Holiday Isle Marina. After fishing during the day, I spent my evenings studying Chapman's Book of Seamanship to prepare myself for getting my USCG Captain's License, which I attained in 2002.

My career as a fisherman has taken me on an exciting ride. I have been a part of many victorious tournament crews from Islamorada to Bermuda and beyond and love sharing my extensive knowledge and experience with all anglers - children and adults - who share my same passion.

I love taking time out to teach my cousins, nieces, nephews and my own children to fish and welcome young anglers of all ages aboard the Drop Back.

Professional Guide And Tournament Bass Pro David Ozio

Lake Fork is a true fisherman's paradise. It is one of the few lakes that has several working patterns on any given day. Knowledge of the best patterns is the key to unlocking the secrets of this paradise. My goal is to teach you the skills to recognize the best patterns and techniques to either find fish for an upcoming tournament, to be the best fisherman amongst your peers or for just an enjoyable day on the water with family, friends or business associates.
Having a great day on the water is more than catching a boat load of fish, although that is very important. Coupled with the catch is learning what it takes to do this consistently. My goal is to help you to understand the environment as well as a personable experience. Having a guide to teach you these things is a necessity.
Contact me at any time if you have questions regarding the guide trip. I would love the opportunity to be your guide on Lake Fork.

Doghouse Sport Fishing Charters

Doghouse sport fishing is one of the top boats for outer banks fishing charters out of the Oregon inlet. The Doghouse is a 61 foot, custom Carolina boat. My wife and I were the contractors, and we have included some pictures of the boat being built. It was a 17 month labor of love. We built the boat to be an inspected vessel, which means we can carry more than the standard 6 passengers. Our boat is inspected to carry 24 passengers. We do not operate as a head boat, which means that we do not charge per person. The boat is yours for the duration of your charter. She is a United States Coast Guard Inspected Vessel. We are certified to carry 24 passengers and with a 17 foot cockpit and a 17 foot salon, we have ample room for everyone.
For deep sea fishing outer banks the boat has all the amenities of home. It is very spacious, and has ample room for our large groups. We have two central heat, and air condition units which keep you warm, or cold, depending on the season you fish with us. We have plenty of seating in the cockpit, on the bridge, and in the salon. The head (bathroom) is spacious, and has hot and cold running water, and a shower. All the trim, bar tops, and seat backs are hand-picked mahogany. In a nutshell, the boat is one of the cleanest, most comfortable, rides your hard-earned dollars can charter. The boat is big, extremely well-built, and has all of the comforts of home. The boat has twin motors, the latest in technology, and the best tackle money can buy. Corporate groups, large family groups, wedding parties, and groups of friends all utilize the services we provide. Come join us for a great day of outer banks charter fishing.

The Doghouse and her experienced crew promise a trip to remember! Check out our fishing report.

Nicholson Yacht Charters

Our History

In 1949, on the remote island of Antigua, West Indies, the Nicholson family enroute to Australia on their 73 feet schooner, MOLLIHAWK, arrived at the Naval Base of English Harbour. Fascinated by the beauty and history of the island, they stayed for a while. At that time, the elegant Mill Reef Club was being built. Residents of the club could see the neighboring islands, but had no means to get to them. They saw the sleek, beautiful, elegantly appointed yacht, Mollihawk, anchored at Nelson’s Dockyard and asked Comdr. Vernon B. Nicholson to transport them, and a yachting business was born. The crew were his sons, Rodney and Desmond Nicholson and a professional chef.. Julie Pyle arrived in Antigua aboard Irving Johnson’s sailing brigantine, Yankee in 1954. She met and married Rodney and joined the company as Comdr.’s right hand person. The business grew! Many yachts and their crew, such as Freelance, Ron of Argyle, Georgiana, Boekanier, Xebec, Panda, Lord Jim, Wonny La Rue and Orca joined the Nicholson Yacht Chartering fleet. Julie convinced Pan American Airways to distribute Nicholson Yacht Charter brochures worldwide to the top travel agents. It was important that they knew first hand that such a good thing as yacht chartering existed, so we held our first Nicholson Boat Show and invited 23 CEO’s of the top leisure travel agents on a tandem cruise around Antigua. Thus with experience and hospitality, Nicholson Yacht Charters began. Today, Julie Nicholson and her daughter, Shelby Nicholson, and long time business partner, Sylvia Weston attend to your requests from our offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Blue Hill, Maine.
Desmond Nicholson gives a detailed historical account of the company and it’s beginnings.

Here’s a look back into the history of Nicholson

julieJulie Pyle Nicholson graduated from Emma Willard School and Smith College. She then sailed around the world on the 96′ Brigantine Yankee with Irving and Exy Johnson in 1954. Julie met and married Rodney Nicholson in Antigua in 1954 and has worked to promote V.E.B. Nicholson & Sons (Antigua) Ltd DBA Nicholson Yacht Charters since 1954. Julie established Nicholson Yacht Charters with her business partner, Sylvia Weston at her side, promoting the company to the public, travel agents and charter brokers for over 50 years. Julie pioneered the Nicholson Charter Yacht Show (now called Antigua Yacht Meeting) and Nicholson’s clearing house (now retailing to the public using a similar but unrelated name.) Let original Nicholson brokers, Julie P. Nicholson and Sylvia Weston arrange a yacht charter for you. Julie opened the Nicholson Yacht Charters office in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1973. Prior to that, she and Sylvia worked out of their office in St. Johns, Antigua.

Modern Sailing Yachts

Modern Sailing yachts have taken the place of classics and are among the finest in the world. They ply the lower Caribbean, because the islands are a little further apart than in the Virgin Islands. These lovely ladies of the sea can set their sails and fairly fly between the islands. The conditions for sailing in the Lower Caribbean are the best in the world. The crews are among the most genial hosts, and usually these yachts feature a large master stateroom aft, plus smaller guest cabins for private parties of up to 12. Many have a private suite bathroom for each stateroom.
